FOUNDED IN 1979

by brothers Ali, Abby, and Moe Yaghoubi, UMDC stands for sustainable development and long-term growth. UMDC was among the first to see the potential in neighborhoods like the Lower East Side, Carnegie Hill, East Harlem, Chelsea, and the Bronx. Time has shown the depth and accuracy of UMDC’s insight. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, UMDC executed successful gut rehabilitation projects in East Harlem and the Upper East Side while acquiring a diverse portfolio of properties and investments throughout New York and Florida.

OVER THE PAST DECADE, UMDC

broadened its scope to include large-scale residential construction, affordable housing, and community-driven commercial opportunities. Today, the firm continues to follow its long-term investment strategy while retaining agility and flexibility in a fast-changing market.
